Soccer Game Preview: Greenville vs. T.L. Hanna

The Greenville Red Raiders will take on the T.L. Hanna Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Greenville's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while T.L. Hanna has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Greenville is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Carolina's top teams: Hillcrest, who was ranked 23rd at the time (Greenville was ranked 20th). The Red Raiders never let the Rams get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Friday. Greenville haven't had any issues with Hillcrest recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Greenville's one-goal win came courtesy of Emme Cook, who's now up to seven this season.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between T.L. Hanna and Easley, and Easley kept the tradition alive. The Yellow Jackets fell just short of the Green Wave by a score of 1-0 last Friday. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but T.L. Hanna couldn't quite close it out.

T.L. Hanna's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Greenville, their win bumped their record up to 6-2-1.

Greenville was able to grind out a solid victory over T.L. Hanna in their previous meeting back in March of 2019, winning 2-0. Will the Red Raiders repeat their success, or do the Yellow Jackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
