Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Thayer Central). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 68-22 win over the Tri County Trojans. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-6.

Laken Wiedel was his usual excellent self, rushing for 55 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 39 yards and one TD. Jaxon Krupicka was another key player, rushing for 69 yards and one score on only five carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Thayer Central was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 317 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 184 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Thayer Central's record is now 6-1. As for Tri County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thayer Central will host Exeter-Milligan/Friend at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans will be up against the Bobcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.29 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Tri County, they will welcome Sutton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trojans' defense better be ready for this one: the Mustangs have averaged an impressive 39.7 points per game this season.
