Baseball Game Preview: Coventry Comets vs. Streetsboro Rockets

Coventry hasn't had much luck against Streetsboro recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Comets are taking a road trip to square off against the Rockets at 5:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Coventry came up short against Cloverleaf and fell 5-1.

Coventry saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Snyder, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Streetsboro came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Spartans as they made off with a 10-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Rockets, who have now won four contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Streetsboro now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Coventry, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Coventry beat Streetsboro 10-5 in their previous matchup on April 2nd. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
