Softball Recap: Southern Wayne Takes a Loss

Southern Wayne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 24-3 to the Hunt Warriors. If the Saints were looking for revenge after losing 3-2 to the Warriors when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Southern Wayne saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Brimberry, who scored a run while going 3-for-3.

Southern Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Hunt, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southern Wayne will challenge South Johnston at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hunt, they will welcome East Wake at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. East Wake's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Hunt's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
