It's playoff time, and Katella had no trouble coming through when it counted. Everything went their way against the Santa Paula Cardinals on Thursday as they made off with a 17-7 victory. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Nataly Rodarte was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jazlyn Garcia, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Katella was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .613. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The win got Katella back to even at 13-13. As for Santa Paula, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.

Looking ahead, Katella will square off against Vasquez at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight. Santa Paula does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
