Football Recap: Groton Wins Going Away Against Newark Valley

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Spencer-Van Etten/Candor, Groton was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They took down the Newark Valley Cardinals 28-14. For the Red Hawks, this counts as revenge for the 35-6 win the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2019.

The victory got Groton back to even at 4-4. As for Newark Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.

As of now, neither Groton nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
