Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Trinity). They put the hurt on the Crockett Bulldogs with a sharp 27-1 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.
Canyen Hollis made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Hollis was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. He has become a key player for Trinity: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-16 otherwise.
In other batting news, Avery Williams was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, five runs, and two RBI. Those five runs gave him a new career-high.
