Baseball Recap: Twelve Bridges Takes a Loss

After flying high against Casa Roble on Friday, Twelve Bridges came back down to earth. The Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos fell just short of the Lincoln Fighting Zebras by a score of 8-6 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Raging Rhinos have suffered since March 16, 2024.

James Romanov and Jackson Whitesides did some serious damage despite the final result: Romanov scored a run while going 3-for-4, while Whitesides scored two runs while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Romanov a new career-high in hits (three). Luke Nilsson also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Twelve Bridges' loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Lincoln, the win also got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Twelve Bridges will look to defend their home field on Friday against Bear River at 3:30 p.m. As for Lincoln, they will head out to challenge Marysville at 4:00 p.m. on March 10th.
