Basketball Recap: Cumberland County Has No Trouble Against Allen County-Scottsville

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Monroe County, Cumberland County was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They took down the Allen County-Scottsville Patriots 61-47. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cumberland County's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Allen County-Scottsville, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-12 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cumberland County will welcome Russell County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Russell County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 contests. As for Allen County-Scottsville, they will square off against Warren East at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Warren East knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Allen County-Scottsville likes a good challenge.
