The Clever Blue Jays will venture away from home to take on the Forsyth Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Forsyth took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Clever, who comes in off a win.
Clever's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over Billings. The Blue Jays might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 contests by six runs or more this season.

Ava Mittag made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Izabel Hudak, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Katelynn Butts, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Forsyth couldn't beat Marionville on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Panthers fell 13-8 to the Comets.
Riley Holmberg was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.
On the hitting side, Haiden Holle was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. Libby Hunter was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run.
Clever has been performing well recently as they've won 14 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Forsyth, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-16.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Clever hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .396. However, it's not like Forsyth struggles in that department as they've averaged .336. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Clever came out on top in a nail-biter against Forsyth in their previous matchup back in April, sneaking past 5-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Jays since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
