Joyner rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, while Beal threw for 340 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt. Joyner's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 116 rushing yards dating back to last season.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Abilene, bringing their record for this year to 6-2. As for Lubbock, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Abilene will welcome Tascosa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
