Baseball Game Preview: Camelback Spartans vs. Browne Bruins

Camelback hasn't had much luck against Browne recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Camelback will be playing at home against Browne at 3:45 p.m. Camelback has given up an average of 13.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Camelback is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 16th straight game dating back to last season on Thursday. They lost 13-2 to Valley Vista. That's two games in a row now that the Spartans have lost by exactly 11 runs.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Browne was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They fell just short of Cibola by a score of 3-2. The Bruins have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Abraham Guzman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on 12 hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Browne saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Erubiel Delgado, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Browne's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Camelback, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Camelback might still be hurting after the 13-1 loss they got from Browne in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Camelback avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
