Baseball Recap: Varela Comes Up Short

Varela was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Palmer Trinity Falcons, falling 10-4.

Varela saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zander Zaldivar, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another was Moises Pabon, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.

Varela's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Palmer Trinity, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Varela didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-0 defeat against Killian on the 25th. As for Palmer Trinity, they have also already played their next contest, a 10-3 loss against Doral Academy on the 21st.
