Game recap: Anadarko High School Football Team takes down Wagoner

WAGONER, Okla. - Anadarko (Okla.) snapped the 12-game winning streak of Wagoner (Okla.), with a 34-14 victory on Saturday.

After trailing 13-0 at the half, the Bulldogs went ahead on a touchdown with 9:00 left in the third. Anadarko finally took the lead for good when Brandon Pollard threw a touchdown to Brayden Alexander with 6:00 remaining in the third quarter.

AHS grew its lead to 15 points entering the fourth quarter. The Warriors scored three times in the third, including once on a touchdown pass by Pollard to Alexander.

With the win Anadarko extended its winning streak to 13 games. Anadarko defeated Catoosa 40-14 last week.



Wagoner came in allowing just 14.1 points per game this season. WHS struggled against Anadarko's offense, which entered the game scoring 49.2 points per game. The Warriors had given up an average of 7.3 points prior to the contest.

The defeat comes as a step back for Wagoner, who notched a 28-21 victory over Woodward in its previous outing.
