Softball Recap: Marsh Valley Takes a Loss

After flying high against Bear Lake on Thursday, Marsh Valley came back down to earth. The Eagles fell 10-5 to the Preston Indians on Monday. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost four in a row.

Olivia Campbell was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. Mya Anderson was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Marsh Valley's loss dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Preston, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-10.

Marsh Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-2 victory against American Falls on the 6th. Hopefully Preston paid attention to the Eagles' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Eagles at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
