Softball Recap: Montgomery Central Timberwolves vs. West Cabarrus Wolverines

Montgomery Central had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the West Cabarrus Wolverines as the Montgomery Central Timberwolves made off with a 17-2 victory.

Emma Parnell and Annabelle Spivey made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Parnell struck out six batters over two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and not a single walk). Meanwhile, Spivey tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. At bat, Parnell scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-3, while Spivey scored five runs and stole a base while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.
