Baseball Game Preview: Hermitage Panthers vs. Freeman Mavericks

Hermitage hasn't had much luck against Freeman recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Panthers will welcome the Mavericks at 6:00 p.m. Hermitage has given up an average of 7.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hermitage is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against J.R. Tucker on Friday. They lost 11-1 to the Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Panthers have suffered against the Tigers since May 13, 2022.

Hermitage saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Hernandez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Freeman's offense. They fell just short of Godwin by a score of 2-0 on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Mavericks have lost by exactly two runs.

Freeman dropped their record down to 9-5 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Hermitage, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.
