Volleyball Recap: Astoria/VIT Comes Up Short

Astoria/VIT was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Greenview Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

Astoria/VIT's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Greenview, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-12 record this season.

Astoria/VIT is taking a road trip to take on Havana at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Greenview, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Illini Central on the 18th.
