While Joppatowne was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-13, 25-16.
Meanwhile, Perryville had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Indians.
Perryville was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-22, 24-26, 22-25, 25-21, 15-10.
Joppatowne better focus on containing Caitlyn O'Donnell and Bri Bowman as the pair were huge in Perryville's win. O'Donnell had 30 digs and two aces, while Bowman had 13 digs. Those 30 digs gave O'Donnell a new career-high.
Perryville was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in ten consecutive matchups.
Perryville's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Joppatowne, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
