Volleyball Recap: Huron Tigers vs. Columbian Tornadoes

Huron took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Columbian Tornadoes 3-2.

Huron took Columbian into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 26-24, 25-23, 22-25, 15-11.

Jada Foster paced Huron's offense, picking up 14 kills. Foster got some help from Reece Hotz and her 38 assists. Maggie Orzech and Adelyn Van Sickle kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Columbian's loss came despite strong showings from Emma Daugherty and Erica Raubenolt. Daugherty had 29 digs and three aces, while Raubenolt had 17 digs. Daugherty is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season.
