Softball Recap: Coolidge Takes a Loss

Coolidge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 15-1 to the Seton Catholic Sentinels. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sentinels apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Coolidge's loss dropped their record down to 3-9-2. As for Seton Catholic, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Coolidge will take on Apache Junction at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Prospectors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.89 runs per game on average), something the Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Seton Catholic, they will square off against Florence at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Sentinels' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gophers have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
