Basketball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Takes a Loss

Mt. Pleasant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Armstrong River Hawks, falling 62-34.

Armstrong found their leader in freshman Carter Schotting, who went 7 for 9 on his way to 19 points and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Schotting has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Brumbaugh, who made all 6 shots he took racking up 12 points.

Mt. Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Armstrong, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Mt. Pleasant will look to defend their home court on December 14th against Serra Catholic at 1:30 p.m. As for Armstrong, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-32 victory against Greensburg Salem on the 10th.
