Quincy has gone a perfect 6-0 against Geneseo recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Blue Devils will be playing at home against the Maple Leafs at 7:00 p.m.

Quincy came up short against Sterling on Friday, falling 38-17.

The losing side was boosted by Mason Mason, who rushed for 82 yards and a pair of TDs.

Meanwhile, Geneseo had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with a 34-21 victory over the Pioneers. Given the Maple Leafs' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Pioneers are ranked 397th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Quincy better keep an eye on Erik Bjorkman. He was instrumental in Geneseo's win, rushing for 106 yards and two scores.

Quincy's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3. As for Geneseo, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Everything came up roses for Quincy against Geneseo in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 55-18 victory. Will the Blue Devils repeat their success, or do the Maple Leafs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
