Softball Recap: Linton-Stockton Has No Trouble Against Loogootee

Linton-Stockton won the last time they faced Loogootee and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Miners were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Lions. The result was nothing new for the Miners, who have now won nine matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Linton-Stockton has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Loogootee, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-14.

Looking ahead, Linton-Stockton will take on Clay City at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Miners' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eels have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season. As for Loogootee, they will venture away from home to challenge White River Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Lions are facing the Wolverines at the right time seeing as the Wolverines are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
