Purvis waltzed into their match on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They skirted past the West Harrison Hurricanes 3-1. The Tornadoes have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hurricanes, too.

The team relied heavily on Tiyah Evans - 2026, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Allee Williamson - 2025, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Purvis pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for West Harrison, they moved to 6-12 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Purvis has already played their next game, a 6-3 victory against Sumrall on the 25th. As for West Harrison, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-3 defeat against George County on the 25th.
