Baseball Recap: Cedarville Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Cedarville's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to the Mountainburg Dragons, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The defeat continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Dragons: they've now lost six in a row.

Cedarville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cade Cross, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Cedarville's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Mountainburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Cedarville will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mountainburg, they are taking a road trip to square off against Ozark Catholic Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
