Football Game Preview: Peach County Trojans vs. Dougherty Trojans + How To Watch

Peach County will challenge Dougherty at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Peach County will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

On Thursday, Peach County humbled Westover with a 42-14 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won three games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Ashton Barton had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 181 yards and two TDs while picking up 9.1 yards per carry, and also catching one score. Those 181 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Zion Hudson, who gained 68 total yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Dougherty beat Monroe 23-19 on Friday.

Dougherty's win came from a few key players Peach County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Micah Joyner, who rushed for 114 yards on only ten carries, and also threw for 75 yards and one touchdown. Daishon Malone helped out on the ground, rushing for 111 yards.

Dougherty's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Peach County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-0.

Everything came up roses for Peach County against Dougherty in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 49-14 win. In that matchup, Peach County amassed a halftime lead of 21-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
