Ronan barely beat Corvallis the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Chiefs put the hurt on the Blue Devils with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday. The Chiefs haven't had any issues with the Blue Devils recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

While Ronan won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, 25-18.

Sierra Blood paced Ronan's offense, picking up 13 kills. Blood got some help from Sarah Templer and her 18 assists. Blood also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Rayna Tonasket, racking up three apiece.

The victory got Ronan back to even at 1-1. As for Corvallis, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ronan will venture away from home to square off against Bigfork at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Chiefs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Corvallis, they will head out on the road to challenge Whitefish at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
