Softball Recap: Ticonderoga Has No Trouble Against Saranac Lake

Ticonderoga won the last time they faced Saranac Lake and things went their way on Friday too. The Sentinels blew past the Red Storm 15-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Sentinels.

Myleigh Drinkwine made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Isabelle Burroughs was a standout: she went 1-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Addy Moore was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

Ticonderoga's record is now 2-0.

Ticonderoga has already played their next contest, an 18-3 win against Northern Adirondack on the 7th. As for Saranac Lake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 16-1 loss against Saranac on the 9th.
