Baseball Recap: Philip Barbour Beats North Marion for Their Third Straight Victory

Philip Barbour let North Marion stack six runs on them in the third inning on Monday but luckily Philip Barbour prevailed anyway. The Colts came out on top against the Huskies by a score of 11-8. Winning may never get old, but the Colts sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Landyn Carpenter was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs and one RBI. Tyler Sisson was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one double.

Philip Barbour was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March.

Philip Barbour's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for North Marion, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Looking ahead, Philip Barbour will square off against Elkins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Marion, they will take on Lewis County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Huskies are facing the Minutemen at the right time seeing as the Minutemen are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
