Basketball Recap: Providence Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Providence had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 57-51 win over the Porter Ridge Pirates on Friday. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 71-57 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Porter Ridge's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reid Johannes, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 18 points in addition to eight boards and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Ziggy Harris, who posted ten points in addition to five boards and three steals.
