Volleyball Recap: Coral Springs Charter Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Coral Springs Charter challenged Pembroke Pines Charter on Wednesday. The Panthers took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Jaguars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 18-25, 25-21, 25-19.

Gabriel Castro was the offensive standout of the matchup as he had three digs and one block. He has been hot for a while, having also posted 13 or more assists the last nine times he's played.

Coral Springs Charter's loss dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Pembroke Pines Charter, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 17-4.

Looking ahead, Coral Springs Charter will face off against Hallandale at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Pembroke Pines Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
