Baseball Recap: Nova Classical Academy Starts Season with Win Against Legacy Christian Academy

Nova Classical Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They skirted past the Legacy Christian Academy Lions 3-2. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lions, too.

Will Choi made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Choi wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Quintus Graff, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nova Classical Academy will host Minnehaha Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Heritage Christian at 4:15 p.m.
