Baseball Game Preview: Two Harbors Agates vs. Barnum Bombers

The Two Harbors Agates will head out to take on the Barnum Bombers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Two Harbors hasn't scored more than a single run for four games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] hit Two Harbors with a five-run first inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Agates lost 10-0 to the Wolverines.

Meanwhile, Barnum unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against Esko, falling 11-0. The match marked the first time this season in which the Bombers were not able to get on the board.

Two Harbors' loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Barnum, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Two Harbors has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Barnum struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Two Harbors suffered a grim 14-3 defeat to Barnum in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Agates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
