Softball Recap: Templeton Has No Trouble Against Paso Robles

Templeton hadn't done well against Paso Robles recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Eagles blew past the Bearcats 17-6. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their two-run performance the game before.

Tegan Jay tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off eight hits.

On the hitting side, Jessie Branch was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Whitney Moore, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Templeton lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Templeton now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Paso Robles, they dropped their record down to 9-6-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Templeton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 17-7 victory against Atascadero on the 10th. As for Paso Robles, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-9 loss against Pioneer Valley on the 9th.
