Football Recap: Wyoming Skates Past Finneytown with Ease

Wyoming won the last time they faced Finneytown and things went their way on Friday too. The Cowboys blew past the Wildcats, posting a 49-13 win. The result was nothing new for the Cowboys, who have now won five games by 25 points or more so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wyoming to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyler Johnson-Huff, who rushed for 86 yards and two scores on only nine carries. The team also got some help courtesy of David Dupee, who threw for 226 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Wyoming proved: they limited Finneytown to a paltry -1.8 yards per carry. While one picked up at least six total tackles, Johnson-Huff stood above the rest. He rushed for 86 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine carries. Wyoming didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 6.8.

When it comes to explaining why Finneytown lost, don't look at Zyhr Younblood. Despite the final result, he picked up 95 receiving yards and one score.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Wyoming, bringing their record up to 7-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.5 points over those games. As for Finneytown, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
