Softball Recap: Napoleon Comes Up Short

Napoleon fell victim to Ida and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Bluestreaks, falling 12-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Pirates were not able to get on the board.

Napoleon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Rendall, who went 1-for-3 with one triple. That triple was Rendall's first of the season.

Napoleon has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Ida, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Napoleon will venture away from home to face off against Grass Lake at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ida, they will square off against Madison at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
