Volleyball Recap: Lee Vining Comes Up Short

Lee Vining was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Immanuel Christian Crusaders, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-1 defeat two weeks ago.

Lee Vining was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Immanuel Christian work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 29-27, 25-10, 25-23.

Mia Dublino paced Lee Vining's offense, picking up six kills. Dublino got some help from Ember Elits and her 12 assists. Finally, Dublino was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

Lee Vining's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Immanuel Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-16.

Lee Vining wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Trona on the 27th. As for Immanuel Christian, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Mojave on the 29th.
