Softball Recap: Calico Rock Find Success

Calico Rock saw some tournament action on Saturday. They walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Marshall Bobcats. That's two games straight that the Pirates have won by exactly three runs.

The win made it two in a row for Calico Rock and bumps their season record up to 6-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Marshall, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Calico Rock will head out to challenge Viola at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Calico Rock will need to watch out since Viola has now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season. As for Marshall, they will be playing at home against Sloan-Hendrix at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Marshall's pitchers better be ready for this one: Sloan-Hendrix has averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
