Chiawana came tearing into Friday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They secured a 71-65 W over the Southridge Suns. Given the Riverhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Suns are ranked 205th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Chiawana's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.6 points per game. As for Southridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
