Baseball Recap: Warrensburg Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

Warrensburg won the last time they faced Corinth and things went their way on Monday too. The Burgers were the clear victors by a 13-4 margin over the Riverhawks. The Burgers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by six runs or more this season.

Warrensburg let Caleb Remington and Maris Martin run wild. Remington got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI, while Martin got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Remington is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Holcomb, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Warrensburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .558. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Corinth only posted an OBP of .323.

Warrensburg has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Corinth, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Warrensburg is set to square off against their familiar foe Argyle at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Corinth will take on rival Salem at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Riverhawks have a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight defeats, while the Generals will come in with seven straight wins.
