Soccer Game Preview: Ann Sobrato vs. Harbor

The Ann Sobrato Bulldogs will take on the Harbor Pirates in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Ann Sobrato is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Redwood just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against the Giants, falling 5-0. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 313th, while the Giants are ranked 65th).

Meanwhile, Harbor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to Monte Vista Christian. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but the Pirates couldn't quite close it out.

Ann Sobrato's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Harbor, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.
