Softball Recap: Baldwin Finds Home Field Redemption Against Paxon School for Advanced Studies

There's no place like home for Baldwin, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Paxon School For Advanced Studies Golden Eagles on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now won eight in a row.

Hayden Peebles spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 11 Ks. Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high.

At the plate, Makaila Fry and Jazmine Ramos-Merced did most of the damage at the plate: Fry scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Ramos-Merced scored a run while going 2-for-3. Fry also put up a double, which was her first of the season.

Baldwin pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.5 runs. As for Paxon School For Advanced Studies, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.
