Softball Game Preview: San Fernando Tigers vs. Chavez Eagles

The San Fernando Tigers will challenge the Chavez Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. San Fernando will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

It was a proper cat-fight when San Fernando challenged Kennedy on Friday. The Tigers fell 11-8 to the Cougars. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Chavez had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Parrots.

Chavez got a massive performance out of Alyssa Anaya, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Anaya has posted since back in April. Jordan Billingsley was another key player, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Chavez kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The win got Chavez back to even at 12-12. As for San Fernando, their loss dropped their record down to 9-15.
