Recap: Harlan Hawks vs. Eagle Pass Eagles
With a playoff game on the line, the Harlan Hawks rose to the challenge on Thursday. They came out on top against Eagle Pass by a score of 27-20. Harlan's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Despite the loss, Eagle Pass still got an impressive performance from Andres Villarreal, who threw for 362 yards and two touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Jose Hernandez, who picked up 185 receiving yards.
Harlan's victory bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Eagle Pass, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Harlan will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Harlingen. Harlingen will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 411th, while Harlan is ranked 106th). Eagle Pass does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
