Soccer Recap: Carl Junction Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Carl Junction has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bolivar Liberators on Tuesday. One reason for the loss might be Carl Junction's aggressive play style: three Carl Junction players were handed yellow cards.

Nolan Couk wasn't going to let Bolivar walk away unscathed as he scored both of Carl Junction's goals, bringing his season total up to 17 goals.

Carl Junction's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-4. As for Bolivar, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-3.

Coming up, Carl Junction will square off against Cassville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bolivar has already played their next contest (against Republic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
