Baseball Game Preview: Palmer Bulldogs vs. Scurry-Rosser Wildcats

For the second straight game, Palmer will face off against Scurry-Rosser. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Palmer has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with three straight losses, while Scurry-Rosser will come in with five straight victories.

Palmer fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Scurry-Rosser on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 4-3. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Palmer saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eric Cisneros, who went 1-for-4 with one RBI. That RBI was Cisneros' first of the season.

Scurry-Rosser pushed their record up to 12-7 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Palmer, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-15-1.
