Baseball Recap: Badger Takes a Loss

Badger lost against Grand Valley back in May of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Braves came up short against the Mustangs, falling 15-6.

Tyler McWilliams made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Alton Winchek also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Badger's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Grand Valley, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-2.

Coming up, Badger will take on Maplewood at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Braves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rockets have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season. As for Grand Valley, they will square off against Pymatuning Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs are on a four-game streak of home wins, the Lakers a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
