Recap: Teague Lions vs. Fairfield Eagles

The Teague Lions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Fairfield by a score of 75-63. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Teague's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brayden Leija, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Leija has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jehmel Rice, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for Teague and bumps their season record up to 10-13. As for Fairfield, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-19 record this season.

Teague will head out on the road to take on Westwood at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Westwood's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Teague has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Fairfield will take on Buffalo at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairfield is on a three-game streak of home losses, Buffalo a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
