Volleyball Recap: Lake Zurich Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Lake Zurich waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Wauconda Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. The Bears were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Bulldogs, so the Bears were just returning the favor.

Lake Zurich's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ella Elsen, who had three digs and three aces. Another player making a difference was Emme Lawrence, who had six digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Lake Zurich was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Lake Zurich's record now sits at 3-0. As for Wauconda, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Lake Zurich didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Mundelein on the 29th. As for Wauconda, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Glenbrook North on the 29th.
